Cymru MU19 Squad Announced for Scotland Double-Header

Rob Edwards has announced his Cymru MU19 squad for their upcoming friendly double-header against Scotland.

Edwards’ squad selection has an eye on the UEFA European U19 qualifying campaign which gets under way later this year.

Buckley Town will host the first fixture between the two sides on Thursday 23 March, with a 6:30pm kick-off. Tickets are available to purchase on the gate (£5 for adults, £3 concessions and free for Under-16s).

The second meeting will take behind-closed-doors at Colliers Park three days later on Sunday 26 March, kick-off at 1pm.

The double-header will aid preparations for the upcoming qualifying campaign as Cymru get set to take on England, Austria and Montenegro, who will host the mini-tournament.

Cymru MU19 missed out on a place in the UEFA 2023 European Under-19 Championship Elite Round by the narrowest of margins last year, with two goals seeing them fall just short of second place in their group on goal difference.

Cymru MU19: Oliver CAMIS (Bournemouth), Jake DENNIS (Cardiff City), Alex WILLIAMS (West Brom), Will SPIERS (Cardiff City), Scott GODDEN (Leeds United), Theo ROBINSON (Nottingham Forest) Thierry KATSUNKUNYA (Aston Villa) George ABBOTT (Watford), William ANDIYAPAN (Tottenham Hotspur), Josh CAREY (Swansea City), Daniel WATTS (Swansea City), Owen HAMPSON (Sheffield United), Calum AGIUS (Crewe Alexander) Lewis KOUMAS (Liverpool), Cole FLEMING (Cardiff City), Tanatsa NYAKUHWA (Cardiff City), Omari BENJAMIN (Arsenal), Japhet MATONDO (Cardiff City), Isaac JEFFRIES (Cardiff City).
