Dragon Signs Amateur Trophy Semi-Final Preview

Four teams will look to take a step closer to lifting the Dragon Signs Amateur Trophy as the semi-finals take place this weekend.

Llandrindod Wells and Trethomas Bluebirds get the semi-final action under way on Friday night as the pair meet at The Bont Playing Fields – the home of Penydarren BGC.

Llandrindod Wells sealed their place in the last four after edging past 10-man Cardiff Corinthians in a five-goal thriller at the Riverside Ground. Andrew Evans’ second-half goal proved to be the difference as Trethomas Bluebirds’ beat Baglan Dragons 1-0.

In the other semi-final tie this weekend, Bridgend Street and Denbigh Town go head-to-head at Llanidloes Town’s Victoria Park on Saturday afternoon.

Paul Fowler struck twice to inspire Bridgend Street in their quarter-final tie as they pulled off a 5-2 win over Rhos Aelwyd at Willows Avenue. While Paul Fleming scored two-second half goals for Denbigh Town in their 3-1 win over Pill AFC 3-1 in the last eight.
