FAW Launches Youth Council

The Football Association of Wales are delighted to announce the launch of the FAW Youth Council.

Members of the Youth Council were invited to Cymru’s FIFA Women’s World Cup Play-Off against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Cardiff making a pitch-side appearance in front of a record crowd at half-time.

The Youth Council aims to provide a platform for children and young people to influence change and decision-making in Welsh football while developing themselves as young leaders and ambassadors of the game.

Members will be hosting their first meeting in November and will start to provide advice on the development of football in Wales representing the voice of children and young people.

The Youth Council will also be integral in establishing regional Youth Councils throughout Wales influencing policy and decision-making at all levels.
