Wales' Womens National Team Manager Gemma Grainger during the International Friendly against Northern Ireland at Cardiff City Stadium

Cymru’s fixtures for the inaugural UEFA Women’s Nations League campaign have been confirmed.

Gemma Grainger’s side will open the campaign away to Iceland on Friday 22 September, followed by a home match against Denmark in the same window on Tuesday 26 September.

The October international window will have two back-to-back fixtures, starting with a match against Germany on Friday 27 October prior to facing Denmark on Tuesday 31 October.

The campaign will then finish with two home fixtures, against Iceland on Friday 1 December and Germany on Tuesday 5 December

The match against Germany will be the first time both sides have faced each other in a women’s international fixture since 2008. Gemma Grainger will be more familiar with Denmark and Iceland, having drawn 1-1 with both sides during her time in charge of the Cymru team.

A full explainer of the new tournament format is available here. Match venues and KO times will be announced in due course.
