National Leagues Membership Confirmed for 2022/23

The Football Association of Wales National League Board (NLB) met today (9 June) in Cardiff to discuss the composition of the National Leagues for the for the 2022 / 2023 season.  

The NLB followed the Promotion / Relegation provisions of the FAW Pyramid Regulations as follows:

The withdrawals of Bangor City from the JD Cymru North during the season and Penparcau from the Ardal North East, who finished 9th and then withdrew from the League, were also recorded.  

The promotion of Tier 4 clubs into Tier 3 were subsequently confirmed as follows:

Following the confirmation of automatic promotion and relegation, 60 of the 64 places in the Tier 3 Pyramid had been filled, which left four vacancies. 

The NLB unanimously agreed to fill all four places by considering vacancy applications, which had been submitted by Clubs in accordance with the FAW Pyramid Regulations.

Having considered all applications, the NLB used their absolute discretion and awarded the following four clubs with a place in the Ardal Leagues for 2022/23 via the vacancy route: 

1. CPD Bangor 1876 (Ardal North West)
2. Hawarden Rangers (Ardal North West) 
3. RTB Ebbw Vale (Ardal South East)
4. Seven Sisters Onllwyn (Ardal South West) 

Finally, the NLB organised the Leagues on a regional basis and the following Clubs moved laterally within the Tier 3 structure: 

Llandrindod Wells (Ardal South East to Ardal North East) 

Rhayader Town (Ardal South East to Ardal North East) 

Llanuwchllyn (Ardal North West to Ardan North East)
